Union Rights 

 Under the National Labor Relations Act, we can:
  • Talk to your co-workers about joining a union.
  • Share information about joining a union (in non-work areas during non-work times and remotely in virtual meetings).
  • Sign up your co-workers on petitions in non-work areas and during non-work times and virtually
  • start or join a union with other staff. 
  • Collaborate and support your co-workers to improve working conditions in your place of employment.

 
With a Union and a Contract we can :
  • ​negotiate changes to implementations and Impacts on the bargaining unit employees 
  • Contract negotiations require both sides — labor and management — to listen, and reach reasonable compromises acceptable to both sides.
  • feel assured of our rights to a respectful and fair workplace
  • push back against unfair practices or procedures in the workplace
  • work together with others to create lasting change
