Updating our Collective Bargaining Agreement

Starting in January 2023, the Local and Peace Corps agency have agreed to meet to begin negotiations to revise and update the collective bargaining agreement.  This page will be updated to provide members with news regarding negotiations.

Come meet and discuss ways we can update our Collective Bargaining Agreement. For six weeks the Union's President will hold hourly meetings to discuss with members ideas around update the agreement. If you need the calendar invite, please email the union at [email protected] 

This event was until the second week of December on Friday.

nEGOTIATIONS wEEK  
The teams met on January 31st for the first official negotiations meeting for a new contract in 25 years.  The Director, Carol Spahn expressed her and the agency's commitment to ensuring an agreement that empowered staff at Peace Corps.  The Union President, Alixandria Warren expressed her hopes for stronger language that gave more protections and rights to the staff at Peace Corps. 
April Update
The Union has been meeting weekly with agency representatives. Each meeting has been fruitful in understanding perspectives and in the creation of a new article.  As anticipated session progress is going slow, as familiarize ourselves with the process.  Please check your email, for the weekly update sent out each week.
