What is AFSCME? The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), AFL-CIO, is the nation’s largest and fastest growing public service employees union, with more than 1.6 million active and retiree members.

I am proud to be a dues paying member of our union! It shows my support for the work our colleagues do on our behalf to ensure we have a strong voice when it comes to our rights and especially negotiations! My Peace Corps Employees Union Mug is my daily reminder that our union had our best interests in mind always!

Article 13: Reorganizations, Alterations and Physical Moves

Section A The Parties agree that should Management propose any reorganizations, or reductions-in-force impacting bargaining unit members, such plans will not be implemented without first providing notice to the Union. After notice, the Union will be given twenty-one (21) days to transmit its views to Management.

We Need Notetakers.  We Need You.

The Union's Negotiations Team needs one more notetaker for their CBA negotiations meetings with management, every other Tuesday from 3 PM - 5 PM EST.  You don't have to do it every time.  You can do it on a rotational basis.  Contact:   Trina Van Schyndel [email protected]
